Ghosts, Mediums, Table Rappings .. wait, what’s that BEHIND you?!!

Earlier this week, I was reading an interesting piece on the astrological insights behind Neptune entering Pisces – this cycle transpiring on April 4th,  highlighting a new 14-year cycle of Neptune traveling through its own sign.

“With Neptune moving into Pisces, there is the potential for tremendous spiritual transformation, but also mass delusion such as has never been seen before.  The last time Neptune entered Pisces was in February 1848, shortly after its discovery in 1845.   1848 is the year that the gold rush began in California, leading one reporter to complain that everyone in the state was under the spell of gold fever.  This kind of fever, or mass hysteria, is emblematic of Neptune in Pisces. The spiritualism of the 19th century has its roots in Neptune’s travel through Pisces during that time.”

Wikipedia:

Spiritualists often set March 31, 1848, as the beginning of their movement. On that date, Kate and Margaret Fox, of Hydesville, New York, reported that they had made contact with the spirit of a murdered peddler. What made this an extraordinary event was that the spirit communicated through rapping noises, audible to onlookers. The evidence of the senses appealed to practically minded Americans, and the Fox sisters became a sensation.

What we all know now by the Fox sisters’ own confession that the “rappings” were a hoax, but years later the sisters retracted the statement, leaving many confused and a bit skeptical of Spiritualism altogether.

Margaret told her story of the origins of the mysterious “rappings” in a signed confession given to the press and published in New York World, October 21, 1888. In it, she explained the Hydesville Events.

However, I do believe this “opening up” of the Spiritualist Movement was inevitable, and very much needed within the state of universal consciousness at the time. The progressed radicals of the mid-19th century were fed up with the established formalized religious entities, mostly because those comprising the church hierarchy were irritatingly complacent on the issues of slavery, and the advocacy of women’s rights were even less of a concern. The Movement gave women the ‘voice’ they had been craving, creating important roles for them as mediums and trance lecturers. In fact, Spiritualism ushered in a landmark emancipating victory for women’s rights in the U.S. by providing one of the first pivotal venues where women were ‘permitted’ to address mixed public audiences without repercussion.

The mediums and trance channels of today are a far cry from their early predecessors, echoing similarities only in the “performance” aspects, the theatrical presentations. Most mediums of note in the early tricklings of the 21st century (myself included) are much more “normal” and less flamboyant when communing with the dead. The information that comes through is, in my unique perspective, emanating from a very similar cache as any other type of psychic read I do. There is no need for external noisemaking, or frightening displays of ghostly presences. Most of the time, these spirits of loved ones lost are ecstatic they have discovered a portal to “reconnect” here on this plane.

There seems to be a sense amongst many that once a connect has been made – that these souls “hang around” for perhaps even decades, just waiting for their next chance to commune with their loved ones left behind. Not so, I’m afraid.

Throughout my thousands of private psychic sessions, I have come to understand there is a unique and preparatory phase which ensues once the soul has departed this plane / consciousness/ physical body – continuing its progressive quest for sublime knowledge, while enhancing the universal Akashic Records in return.  So there is little time to be “hanging around” the living here while this “prep” phase for the next step or incarnation is under way. (Not unless they are trapped for a particular reason, or wandering lost, within this plane, not quite ready with their free will status to move on with their journeys. But that’s for another blog, another day…)

Please understand – these souls are not forgetting, or ignoring those they love and left behind in any way – there is a small portion of their soul’s essence which will ALWAYS be connected to you. ALWAYS. The soul does not incarnate on this plane with 100% essence or energy. Not even transcendental souls are able to sustain that high a vibrational rate here on this plane. You incarnate with maybe 30-35% – that is all that is really necessary – while the remaining soul’s energy cache in the astral plane is what I like to refer to as your “higher self.”  That is the essence of yours I tap into during each & every psychic experience.

While some may think I am reading intuitively from within me …  now you see it is actually from within, or more accurately – above, YOU.

Modernistic “Flaming Seance” Table
(I want one!)

The mediums of today have less of a completely ethereal quality, but more of a psychic “blend.” They are able to interface and integrate with a mass number of souls, living or presently on the Other Side, without much fanfare. It almost seems like they’ve known you your entire life – an old friend. This facilitates the teaching process, and progression circle.

You are infinitely more likely to learn and assimilate your lessons as a 21st century inhabitant when the light is shown to be coming from within you, and not some external source. You no longer need to act out of fear of some unknown. You are on a never-ending quest to clarify the unknown from your unique perspective each lifetime, each fascinating opportunity.

As a psychic/ medium in this present time, I am here to guide you as needed to those answers within you.

Only you.

Always you.

To quote one of my favorite shows, LOST …

Namaste, my friends.

Namaste.

Namaste (नमस्ते [nʌmʌsˈteː]) is a Sanskrit salutation, frequently accompanied by a pressing together of the palms at the chest and a slight bow. It is commonly used in yogic practice. It is composed of “namas” meaning “obeisance” and “te” meaning “you”. Translations range from the more literal “I humble myself to you” to the more poetic “May the good in me honor the good in you” and “My spirit bows to your spirit.” Conceptually, speaking “namaste” pays homage to the inner light in all living things.
